Our three EU partner projects:

GO-Forward is developing a novel methodology to improve pre-drilling predictions of geothermal reservoir properties and reduce exploration risk. Instead of relying solely on geostatistical extrapolation, the project uses simulations of geological processes to assess reservoir structure and properties before drilling. These process-based models are calibrated with geological and geophysical data, enabling more robust and realistic subsurface predictions. Details: https://go-forward-project.eu/

FindHeat is creating a new concept-based workflow for geothermal exploration. At its core is the modular FindHeat platform, which brings together innovative software tools and geophysical exploration methods in a cost-efficient framework. The project aims to make geothermal heat exploration more reliable, accessible, and significantly less expensive than current state-of-the-art approaches. Details: https://findheat.eu/

URGENT develops and tests low-impact exploration tools at three field sites to improve subsurface mapping and reduce drilling risk. Using advanced methods such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, the project seeks to lower exploration costs, increase drilling success rates, and extend the operational lifetime of geothermal plants. At the same time, it aims to minimize seismic risk associated with geothermal development. Details: https://urgent-project-heu.eu/
